Corporate Social Responsibility
At BDO, we are cognisant of the fact that business is motivated by more than just self-interest but aims to promote the collective self-interest of society at large. We realise that as a socially responsible firm, we must also support the communities that we derive our success from. Furthermore, we have also realised that staff involvement in some of these community projects goes a long way in reinforcing team spirit and loyalty.
Issues & Crisis Management
The current turbulent and uncertain economic environment calls for local companies to continually anticipate dominant and current issues, analyze trends and potential crises and use them to their benefit. At BDO Zimbabwe, we have the skills to analyze issues and trends on a continual basis. We provide this intelligence and recommendations to our clients.
We have been involved with a few charitable drives such as donations of clothing and volunteer work over the years. We have made a deliberate effort to work with the Jairos Jiri Association where we recently helped the Gleneagles farm by drilling a borehole and purchasing and installing a 5 000L water tank to ensure that they are able to begin farming. We are going to work to try and build some security for the farm in the long term. We partnered with Jairos Jiri yet again for our 35th Anniversary inaugural celebration. We raised funds with our employees, alumni, clients and various partners/suppliers in order to buy blankets ahead of the winter season. Our efforts afforded us 46 blankets which we donated to Chiedza Child Care (23) and Jairos Jiri Association (23) on the day of the Charity Walk. We are committed to empowering the communities we work in and hope to develop a culture of giving back through every individual here at BDO Zimbabwe.
